Technical Information

REBEL Safetygear Workboots comply with the standards required by ISO 20345:2011 and SABS 20345:2014.

The classification system used to identify the protection provided by the footwear is listed below:

EN ISO 20345:2011 Impact 200 joules. Compression 15000 Newton’s. SB
EN ISO 20345:2011 Impact 200 joules. Compression 15000 Newton’s.
Closed heel region, and anti-static properties.
EN ISO 20345:2011 As S1, plus water penetration and absorption resistance. S2
EN ISO 20345:2011 As S2, plus penetration resistance and cleated outsole. S3


Added protection can be provided, and is identified on the product by its marking, as:

HRO = Sole resistant to hot contact of 300˚C (degrees centigrade) for 60 seconds.
P = Penetration resistance of 1100 Newton's
M = Metatarsal protection.
WR = Water resistance.
SRA = Slip resistance. Tested on a ceramic surfaces.
SRB = Slip resistance. Tested on a metal surfaces.
SRC = Slip resistance. Tested on ceramic and metal surfaces.

It is important that the footwear selected for wear must be suitable for the protection required and the environment. Where the environment is not known, it is very important that consultation is carried out to ensure, where possible, the correct footwear is provided.
