Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Technology Now Available in Six Styles

Anti-static (S1) shoes only offer a limited ability to allow charge to flow through them. ESD shoes have a sole that is more conductive, and thus offer a greater ability for charge to flow through the shoe. Look for the ESD icon which is displayed on the tongue or outside profile of each REBEL boot and shoe that features this technology.
PROTECT SENSITIVE EQUIPMENT AND PRODUCTS
ESD shoes are the footwear of choice in an environment such as an electrical assembly plant, where a small electrostatic charge from the wearer onto a sensitive circuit board (for example) may damage the circuit board. The worker would wear an ESD pair of shoes to ensure that all the static build-up gets dissipated into the ground, and not through any other part of his body, such as hands.
